RMR stands for Ruggedized Miniature Reflex – a compact open red-dot sight with extreme durability, developed by the American company Trijicon. Its specific features and design have become a standard for both military and civilian use and serve as the model for all RMR-style footprints. Main features of RMR sights:
- Open-frame design with a glass lens and aluminum housing.
- Recoil- and impact-resistant – designed for use on pistols, rifles, and high-recoil firearms.
- Compact size and low weight – suitable for concealed carry.
- Specific mounting standard – RMR footprint: two guide pins and two mounting screws at the rear. This standard is also used by other manufacturers.
- Optional dot sizes: 1 MOA, 3.25 MOA, 6.5 MOA.
- Power options: CR2032 battery or solar panel with auto-brightness adjustment.
