Foster

US Foster (Foster 22) refers to the quick disconnect standard used in HPA systems (High Pressure Air) for airsoft guns. These connectors enable fast and secure attachment of the hose from the HPA tank to the regulator or directly to the gun. Foster connectors are known for their durable metal construction, high reliability, and universal use in industry, paintball, and airsoft. Foster connectors have thus become the standard for HPA airsoft systems. There are two main types of HPA connectors – US and EU – which differ in design and compatibility. They are most commonly used in the QD (Quick Disconnect) version, ensuring easy handling. US vs. EU connectors:

US (United States) standard: Used by most HPA systems, especially those from the USA (PolarStar, Wolverine, EPeS). It features a different thread and a slightly different inner diameter.
EU (European) standard: Widespread in Europe, used by many regulators and hoses produced locally.
Incompatibility: US and EU connectors are not fully compatible. When choosing hoses, regulators, and guns, it is always necessary to check which standard the manufacturer uses.

QD Foster connectors (Quick Disconnect):

Quick Disconnect allows for instant hose detachment without unscrewing threads.
Thanks to the spring-loaded mechanism, the connection can be made one-handed and without losing system pressure.
They are commonly used between the tank, regulator, and gun hoses for easy handling during play.
