Dangler pouch, also referred to as an abdominal pouch, fanny pack pouch, is a hanging pouch mounted under a plate carrier or chest rig. The name “dangler” comes from the verb “to dangle”, meaning to hang, as the pouch is attached via a VELCRO panel and freely hangs below the chest area. It serves as an extension of storage capacity without the need to add extra modular pouches to the sides or back. The design is usually simple but well thought out, featuring internal organizers, elastic loops, or compatibility with Insert® systems.
